UPDATED INFO ON LOT AIRLINES

Main Post:

Hi all! I’ve been reading tons of reviews on LOT Airlines, but I haven’t seen any recent threads. Will be flying from JFK to WAW round trip with them in November, so off season. I am getting super worried about the trend in feedback on their service, tons of cancellations, no refunds, impossible to reach, etc...but I also know people rarely post good reviews, so I wanted to see if anyone has flown with them recently and if you could post your experience good or bad.

I feel good about booking major hub airports, but being off season makes me think we are a danger for cancellations due to planes not being full. Maybe this will ease my mind. I appreciate you all!

Top Comment: I fly LOT all the time and have never had any issues. Also never had a cancellation or anything, just some delays a couple of times but I feel good booking them vs some others. Never flew outside of Europe with them, though.

Advice on traviling with LOT-Airline

Main Post:

Hey together

i plan on traviling to Warsaw in September - as i live in the west of Germany, i need to fly.
LOT has one of the lowes fairs so i will most likely fly with them from Frankfurt to Warsaw and back.

Did some of you made any expericence (postive and negative) with them in gerneral and maybe also on the specific route? How is the service for a non-polish speaker (i'm still learning it)? Anything i need to be aware of, as i never traveled via plane before?

On Trustpilot and Tripadvidsor i can only find 1 or 2 Star reviews so i want to make sure i wont get any suprises.

Thanks in advance and you all stay safe and healthy ʕ·͡ᴥ·ʔ

Top Comment: it's exacly like any other "traditional" airline in Europe. On such a short flight from Germany, you likely will not be able to see any difference between LOT and Lufthansa.

Is LOT Airlines reliable?

Main Post:

I'm flying international for the first time from Mumbai to Amsterdam in a couple of months. I wanted to check if LOT Airlines is reliable. I've read some reviews online and a lot of them were disappointed with LOT's service. Should I go for Lufthansa instead or is LOT trustworthy in terms of luggage and flight cancellations?

Top Comment: Flew with them last week for two short trips - takeoff on schedule, arrival before schedule, good (complimentary) service, no issues all around. 10/10 would book them again . LH is also ok, but short trips I‘d actually prefer LOT. Fleet might be a bit older than LH. Depending on the route and the used aircrafts, I don’t think you can go weint either way.

Is someone here who traveled with LOT Polish Airlines?

Main Post:

Hello,

I plan to buy tickets from Warsaw to Tokyo from LOT Polish Airlines. Since it will be a long trip, I want to be prepared for any issues. I read reviews on the web and I saw that there are mostly negative comments.

Top Comment: nobody goes online to post a positive review if everything went as expected. if the hours and price is right, just book them even if 'the tea wasn't hot'.

Opinions on Lot Airlines

Main Post: Opinions on Lot Airlines

Top Comment: Generally their reputation is for being above average but nothing amazing. My personal experience with them for getting around Poland was good, with flights departing and arriving on time and no luggage issues. I believe they're generally going to be the cheapest option within Poland as well. I've also known people that have taken the Chicago-Warsaw flight and reported no issues. While I don't think I'd pay much extra to fly them (except over the budget airlines), I'd have no problem picking them again if the price is competitive with the competition.

Is LOT Polish Airlines Good? A Short Layover in Warsaw

Main Post:

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to fly from Rome (FCO) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) with LOT Polish Airlines, and I have a 1h 15m layover in Warsaw (WAW). Has anyone taken this route before?

  • How reliable is LOT Polish Airlines for long-haul flights?
  • Is 1 hour 15 minutes enough time to make my connection in Warsaw?
  • Do they usually delay flights?
  • How is the service, comfort, and food on their Boeing 787-9 to Tokyo?

I'm a bit worried because this is an international flight, and I don’t want to get stuck in Warsaw. Would love to hear any experiences or tips from people who have flown this route before!

Thanks!

Top Comment: I like LOT. Service isn't the best, but their Dreamliner fleet is comfortable and I've always found the food to be pretty good. For me it is the preferred 'budget' option to Japan ahead of the Chinese airlines. Not sure what they're like for delays (not the best, I've heard) but in general I think 1h15 is cutting it too fine.

Why is LOT so bad?

Main Post:

I mean, they are suppose to be top Polish airline company, yet they are at such mediocre level. They can't land airplane under misty weather while 99% of other companies can, and like that two days in a row. Isn't that even a feat that semi-serious company can achieve?

What's your opinion Poles?

Top Comment: One good thing about Reddit is seeing that people are always complaining about pretty much every airline for something. Sorry if your plans were disrupted. Have no idea about the specifics in this case (or more generally with LOT) but landing is one thing I'm very happy for an airline to be cautious with.

What does "lot" mean here?

Main Post:

I can't get the point of "lot" here since there's "more" already, just doesn't makesense. Is it a typo or reasonable sentence structure?

Top Comment: "You lot" is an informal and very British way of saying "you guys" or "all of you." It doesn't really have anything to do with "more" in this particular sentence.
